Good luck with that.

They aren't going to go through the emotional investmestment of picking an interim rep only to pick her for the full term candidate.

People's minds don't work that way.

If the person they vote for to replace buck for the rest of the term is also a primary candidate, they will just vote twice for that person.

The only way the party can avoid this would be to choose someone not running in the primary. Will they? Doubtful, but if stinky yells loudly enuf....

So is she she still a congresswoman representing the third district even though she moved out of that district?

She's running in the primary in the 4th District, but she're refusing to run in the special election to fill the seat for the next few months. The primary and the special election will be held at the same time.

And she's still representing the 3rd District -- on paper, but I doubt if she's doing much for that district, or ever has.

But also be running against an incumbent which is likely not ideal for her. Although I’m sure it beats resigning to run in the special…

I don't think she will, and I think she's preparing her excuse for losing the primary ("The uniparty sabotaged me!&quot in advance.

...she must resign her 4th district seat for the rest of the term. She won't do that. So she's pissed.
