Republican Congressman Cory Gardner is planning to drop his re-election bid and run for the U.S. Senate seat held by Democrat Mark Udall, The Denver Post has learned.
Gardner is expected to make an announcement in a few days, according to two Republicans who spoke on background.

(3,431 posts)does he have a better chance against Udall than the TP guy? Udall made a bit of a mess about the Obamacare issue. I am not too fond of his ideas like fracking. He also is an honorary board member of the ThirdWay. Still I will have to try to campaign for him, because this year all the gun nuts will come out to vote.

Don't forget Andrew Romanoff running against Coffman in the 6th..
In any case, us Colorado Dems have our work cut out for us.
