DOT: Highways have the worst potholes in decade

SOUTHINGTON, CT (WFSB) -

The past few storms have damaged roads throughout Connecticut and created potholes everywhere, which can get pretty costly, especially for your car.

Many of the mechanics told Eyewitness News the roads throughout Connecticut just seem to be getting worse by the day.

Much of the damage the mechanics saw was to a vehicle's wheels and that is keeping them busy.

Rigoberto Padilla, of Tire Plus Wheels in Hartford, said he has seen a lot of "cracked rims" and "a lot of sidewall damage on the tires."

I swear I almost feel my teeth rattle out on some of those potholes. The roads are going to be a complete mess after this winter!
