HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) Connecticuts Republican Senate candidate, former businesswoman Linda McMahon, is coming close to matching the $50 million she spent on her unsuccessful run for Senate in 2010, new campaign finance records show.
Documents filed with the U.S. Senate and obtained Friday by The Associated Press show the former CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment, now WWE, has spent $42.6 million. On Tuesday, she loaned her campaign $3.3 million more. Much of the money has been spent on television advertising.
McMahon spent $50 million of her own money in the 2010 race she lost to Democrat Richard Blumenthal. She said afterward she wouldnt have to spend nearly as much on a second campaign because she would be better known by voters.

I couldn't care less how much money she spends but $93 million and she will have nothing to show for it.

(2,921 posts)The Connecticut voters aren't going to change their minds any further with her consistent lies.
What does Linda McMahon stand for? All she does, to me, is exploit the workers, and even kill them.
I think about Owen Hart and Chris Benoit. The tops that should have been if it wasn't for the exploitation.
That's when I called it quits on being a fan.

Eddie Guerrero (another dead wrestler) had to go through the Gooker phase.
And I remember Terry and enjoyed his wrestling expertise until the gimmick ruined him.

(12,287 posts)she knows she will not win, yet she has that kind of cash to just throw away. Why isn't she buying a library, a free clinic, soup kitchen, homeless shelter, animal shelter, or just about anything that will improve the lot of our society?
