(5,193 posts)1. We had a bad flood that affected a relatively small area in eastern WV
last Sunday. People who were here for the massive WV floods of 1985 and 1996 told me those previous floods did not come close to the flood last Sunday in our area. Water just poured out of the sky and the road was a river in less than 1/2 hour. This is our new climate. Warmer air holds more moisture. Storms will be worse.

Guess my half-assed plans of mowing wont be realized today. Oh, damn.
The river has still been looking pretty high from the last round of storms. Hopefully it wont flood.
