Our Experience at Anthem was wonderful! Highly recommended

A few months ago, I got two tickets to a concert at Anthem and decided to take a dear, old, music-loving friend. We have spoken on the phone but hadn’t seen each other in many, many years.

The tickets were General Admission floor, which meant standing, only. What I did not realize is his physical condition has deteriorated to the point of needing a walker. In the ADA section of Anthem’s website it said they do have seats for those who need them. We discussed it and he said, “No big deal, my walker has a seat if you turn it around, we’ll be fine.” I was still worried. He didn’t want to “take a seat away from someone who really needed it,” when he, himself, really needed it, imho. He’s a no fuss kinda guy.

Neither of us had ever been to the venue so didn’t know what to expect. When we arrived, we exited the parking garage onto a walking mall on the water with the venue to our right. As I smoked one last cigarette before we joined the entry line, a venue employee approached us. She said she hoped it wouldn’t offend us, but she noticed my friend might need a little help and would we like to enter through the ADA door? We thanked her and said that would be wonderful.

Not only did they escort us in a side door with a ramp, they took us up a private elevator to great seats in the accessible area! We didn’t even ask, we were just standing (or in my friend’s case, sitting) there and chatting with a few people also waiting to join the entry line when we were approached. I was so pleasantly surprised! And impressed. The staff couldn’t have been more courteous or accommodating.

We were close to the bathrooms, the outside balcony where you could smoke (yay!), and most importantly to my friend, the bar, lol! The seats were great and the folks in our section were a lot of fun. We had a ball and a lot of that is due the attentiveness and kindness of the venue staff. They were wonderful.

I’m not big on writing reviews but I am definitely going to leave one for all those fabulous employees who went above and beyond to make our night great, This is sort of like my practice run, will be more concise in an actual review.

The venue itself was beautiful and the sound was great. Highly, highly recommend!

I looked the venue up and it's very modern. The balconies are supposedly closer than most music venues.
