Some are even upset that he's ruining the country, hence the Lincoln Project, but notice they waited until the RWNJ judges were installed.

They know they have essentially lost the culture wars. Contraceptives are a standard part of health insurance plans, abortion is legal, women have genuine rights, gays can marry, racism is no longer acceptable to most Americans. These white Evangelicals see Trump as their last hope in rolling back things to the way they think they should be -- white male Evangelicals on top, gays back in the closet, abortion criminalized, contraceptives illegal again, and so on.
