Dropped it off on the 13th; They should have started counting on the 19th. But so far, their site shows it has been received, but not yet counted.
UPDATE: FURTHER DOWN THREAD IT SAYS THAT SEMINOLE CTY DID NOT BEGIN COUNTING ABSENTEE BALLOTS UNTIL WEDNESDAY THE 21ST. NO EXPLANATION WHY THEY STARTED LATE.
THE SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS FOR SEM CLAIMED THAT THEY CAN COUNT 22000 ABSENTEE BALLOTS EVERY 6 hours. SO, IF THAT'S TRUE, THEY HAVE ALREADY COUNTED A LEAST 60,000 IN THE LAST THREE DAYS. BUT THEY STILL HAVEN'T COUNTED MY BALLOT.
DOES ANYONE HAVE A LINK TO TRACK HOW MANY BALLOTS SEMINOLE COUNTY HAS RECEIVED AND COUNTED?

(22,722 posts)Mine arrived by mail at the end of September and the ballot board began on October 15. My vote completed ballot board on Monday. The team was faced with some 40000 ballots when they began, with more arriving daily. As of last Friday, 75,000 had been mailed and they are still being mailed.

(1,157 posts)Then I realized that since they take the outer envelope off the ballot, they remove the ability to track it after that as being mine. I don't see how one can know that it was counted if there isn't a voter associated with the ballot when they count it. (I live in WA state though.)

I just don't trust these people. Too many bad memories from the Jim Mikes years. And people aren't showing any sign of changing.
Thank you for the information. If you can find the link, please post it.

(14,565 posts)Says they began on Wednesday, three days earlier than normal. But the rest of the state began counting much sooner, so Seminole fell way behind. They claim they can process 22,000 in 6 hours:

(14,565 posts)I'll link to Florida but if you click "Home" above you can check out other states, and the national tally:
https://electproject.github.io/Early-Vote-2020G/FL.html
At the Florida page click "Mail Returned" and then at bottom use page advance to reach Seminole. They are still way behind most other counties. Currently 46.5% return rate while many counties are well into the 60s%.
A week ago today I thought Seminole ballots had not been received, since they were more than 10% behind any other county. Made no sense. I contacted many people including the Biden camp. I posted a thread in General Discussion here. Finally one journalist responded to me and said it looked like Seminole simply was not processing and counting mail ballots yet, unlike the rest of the state. Then the following day I found the link indicating they didn't begin until Wednesday.
Despite that 22,000 claim I think the ballots have been received and are just sitting around somewhere yet to be counted. Seminole had very high turnout rate of 78.5% in 2016 so this year logically it should reach at least that level if not into the 80s.

(48,060 posts)It sounds like they're intentionally trying to slow down the vote count.
Thank you for all your information.
