Sun Sentinel Investigation: Gov. Ron DeSantis 'Ordered Public Health Officials Not To Discuss The ..

.. COVID-19 Virus With The Public’

https://miami.cbslocal.com/2020/12/06/florida-governor-ron-desantis-ordered-public-health-officials-not-discuss-covid-with-public/

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – In the midst of this pandemic, a SunSentinel investigation found that Gov. Ron DeSantis and his administration had been misleading the public about the crisis from the beginning.

According to thousands of pages of documents and over 50 interviews conducted by the SunSentinel, the governor and his team have done it through misinformation and spin as well as by muzzling local health officials across the state.

Q: Did your investigation actually reveal misinformation that was put up by the governor’s office? Because it’s one thing to focus on the positive. It’s another thing to deliberately mislead people. Did you find that?

A: Yes, indeed, yeah. This is one of the more difficult things to talk about. So we found that the governor spokesperson on his personal Twitter account, at least 16 separate times, discussed mask wearing in a way that experts consider to be misinformative. In keeping with the DeSantis administration’s greater position on masks, which is that you know where I’m if you want, the spokesperson would go ahead and say, Fred Piccolo, Jr., you know, there’s no need for a math mask mandate, they don’t work. That’s not factually accurate. They are shown to work. And in several instances, he actually compared COVID-19 to the flu, and said that the flu was equally deadly. That’s not accurate, either. And so this is a public official, and, you know, the governor’s number one spokesperson, and so we felt the need to fact check that misinformation coming out.

I tell them to go to the hospital immediately and tell all the doctors and nurses about that.

Ask the Surgeon and the OR nurses not to wear them during your operation......LOL

Or , even better yet, ask them to go massless and help by volunteering to take care of ICU-Covid patients in the hospital.

In my fantasy world, the hospital ER admittance/triage nurse would stop all people needing to be admitted for Covid, first checking the voter registration records for their political party.......

Perhaps a new nationwide law: You grew it, You chew it.......

the little imp on my shoulder says the appropriate response is to take off your mask and breathe into their faces. HARD. Then see their reaction.

One of his coordinators for Covid information distribution quit early on because she was told to essentially fudge the statistics. Don't remember her name but her public statements about this got her on the bad side of our stinky Gov. DeSantis. Threats and stuff from on high. And to think the guy DeSantis beat to get the job lost mostly because the GOP trumped up a rumor about his time as mayor of Tallahassee being less than stellar. Kettles and skillets across the country still blush.

Anybody know about her current situation?

Due to his fealty and acquienscence to the Cowardly Lyin' Traitorous Loser, the blood of thousands of Floridians is on his hands, and no amount of spin-doctoring will erase the stain on his soul.
Wishing he'd contract the virus himself is counterproductive at this point. We need federal intervention here -- I hope the Biden-Harris does more than "request" mask-wearing for 100 days. Besides, once he's infected he'd probably pass the virus along to even more innocent people. Instead, he should live long enough to realize and regret his heinous crime against humanity, which he has wrought on Floridians and our many visitors.
May he go down in history as the worst. Florida governor. ever. And then burn in Hell for all eternity!

I used to refer to him as Ron DeRacist, after he made the "don't monkey this up!" comment during his election campaign. Well, Ronnie, you have fucked this state up worse than Andrew Gillum (his campaign opponent) could have ever done!

If they're going to be so cavalier with the truth, science and basically anything having to do with reality then they should sign a waiver stating that they cannot receive medical treatment should they contract Covid 19. Also, should it be found that they are positive for the virus they would become financially responsible for any people it is proven that they infected.

Let these fools put their money where their big loud mouths are. And stop them from taking up hospital equipment and personnel when they become infected so that those resources can be put to good use treating those that tried to adhere to normal public safety protocols.
