I returned a while ago from getting my first dose of vaccine at the Pinellas County Health Department's new COVID vaccine facility in Largo. It took a while but now these folks really have it together! My appointment was for 1:30 to 1:45. I was done with my waiting period and on my way to my car with the Pfizer vaccine in me at 1:45. I was very impressed with the organization and courtesy of all the staff.
The location is in what was originally a cosmetology school, if I recall correctly. The directions I got off the internet were horrid. It is just off the intersection of Highland and East Bay on the Southwest corner. They even had people directing traffic in the parking lot. There were lines outside for Entrances A & B, cordoned off by appointment time. My entrance was on my appointment email. Barcode (on the appointment message), ID, and a temperature check were done outside. There was a short line for the shot and a socially distanced room for the required 15 minute post shot wait. I am very proud of what this county was able to accomplish despite Governor DeSatan.
