Evidently we do a very poor job in this area, just like you said. Dreampuff Jun 2021 #2
Sadly I think it's neither. They don't remove the children. Phoenix61 Jun 2021 #3

with an SRO on campus. Florida does a crap job caring for children. They are focus on family preservation instead of what’s in the best interest of the child. Children get bounced in and out of foster care for years rather than terminating parental rights and providing some stability. Of course, that would take spending money on them so don’t hold your breath. It’s not going to happen.

There have been news stories about children sleeping in offices and in cars, Etc. Supposedly there was no room for them in facilities. I haven't heard anything about that lately, but either they straightened up because they were caught or they have remedied the situation.

We haven’t heard anything because they haven’t been in school.

Or places that people send their children because they cannot deal with them or care for them. It's probably been a couple of years ago, but there were many children who were in the system and they didn't have places for them to sleep. It had something to do with the Social Services Department, and if I bump into the link about it, I will post it here.
