Unfortunately, the governor no longer wants daily coronavirus reports, but this past week we had 23747 new cases and that is well over three thousand per day. Our positivity rate is up to 7.8%.

(52,259 posts)If you look at "weekly trends" the US has increased 21%. Tons of countries have increased over 200% in one week. Greece, the Netherlands, Spain, Cuba, etc. all have very high increases in the past week.

I realized I should have provided a link so here it is.

(52,259 posts)I am super careful, fully vaxxed, live alone, always wear a mask in public, etc but Wed PM I got chills, a low grade fever and body aches all over. Now I am super paranoid that any illness I get is possibly Covid.
It makes me wonder when the world will be vaxxed. I estimate 2-3 more years of Covid spikes from various countries and US states.

(778 posts)I still stick with outdoor events and enter every store with a mask and go as seldom as possible. If I wasn't feeling well, my first thoughts would go there, too.
Evidently those numbers must have ended last Wednesday since I believe they release them Thursday afternoons. On occasion Florida does post on worldometer and today is one of those days and we aren't starting things out well for next week's numbers. 4840 new cases yesterday. And our average last week was just under 3400.
