I've never seen seats torn up like that, particularly in a late model SUV. I wonder if the dog did it.

(653 posts)5. i hope that the former owner of that puppy gets his just desserts...i would like to suggest
that he/she or both be put in a locked vehicle and be prevented from getting out for the same length of time that puppy was forced to stay in that locked vehicle.

(4,293 posts)6. Years ago, in Montana, there was a judge who handed down that very sentence for a few idiots who left dogs in hot cars
A LEO was assigned to be present outside the car, to make sure the convicted abuser was never in life threatening danger, but also to enforce the sentence.
Suddenly, there were very few instances of dogs in locked, hot cars.
