Lake City Council members give residents a vote on how the council gets paid
LAKE CITY, Fla. (WCJB) - Lake City Council members are moving forward with giving residents a vote on how they get paid.
Council members voted 3-1 to create a ballot referendum which would ask residents whether council members set their own pay raises in a stand-alone ordinance or combined with other city employees.
Council member Chevella Yong voted against it.
The referendum will on the general election ballot on November. 5.
