'Soon they'll be getting their ballots': General Election Candidates Forum informs residents

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Many local, state and national races will be on your ballot in November and a candidate forum was hosted to try and inform people about the different candidates.

Officials with the African American Accountability Alliance hosted a General Election Candidates Forum, and many residents attended hoping to find out which candidate will address the issues important to the community.

“We can’t address those issues if we don’t have the right candidate,” shared former District one Alachua County Commissioner Candidate, Dejeon Cain.

Cain ran for election in the Primary, but Mary Alford won that race. He attended the forum to figure out who to vote for in November now that he’s not on the ballot.
