Cape Coral City Council District 2 race pits incumbent, challenger in general election

The race moves to the November general election for the four-year term of District 2 Cape Coral City Council representative, featuring incumbent Dan Sheppard and opponent Laurie Lehmann, who made it through the primaries.

To better inform voters, Sheppard and Lehmann responded to questions by The News-Press that covered a variety of topics including top priorities, water runoff, community planning, affordable housing and other issues. First, we'll have Sheppard, who's trying to hang onto his seat, followed by Lehmann, the challenger.
