repeating that awareness again just didn't happened publicity wise and funds wise.

Abrams wasn't leading the ticket, so people lost motivation. It's the same problem Democrats faced in 2010 and 2014, when Obama voters didn't show up in midterms because he wasn't at the top of the ticket.

Plus, people are tired of elections right now. It's easy to forget that 99 percent of the voting population isn't as into politics as we are at DU. After nonstop coverage of midterms for months and months on TV, people didn't want to get up in December and go vote again.
