Related: About this forumFor those waiting for absentee ballots in Gwinnett County..
The My Voter page says my ballot was issued Sept 18th. As of today, I've still not received it.
I called the Gwinnett's Elections office (678-226-7210) today, was told they didn't start mailing ballots out until this past monday (9/28), and have been mailing them out in batches all week.
The lady I spoke with suggested waiting until 10/9 to call back if I haven't received the ballot.
While the phone call made me feel a little better, what I don't understand is this:
September 15th was the first legal day a registrar could send absentee ballots out.
Everyone with a heartbeat has known for over a month what the Post Office has been pulling. Why does Gwinnett sit on the ballots for two weeks or more before sending them??
I'll update this thread with any more info, I encourage others in Gwinnett to post their experiences here.
Have you received your ballot yet?

(310 posts)ballot was issued the same day (9/18), and arrived 2 days later. They filled it out, put it in a drop box, and the my voter page already shows "Accepted".

(310 posts)Good news - I received my ballot in the mail today.
Bad news - I also received a second ballot in the mail today.
They're both addressed to my legal name (me) and have consecutive control numbers on the envelopes.
Sent an email to fairfight with the same info. Any advice?
Any communication I have with the state/county is going to have to be in writing.
This is absolutely bonkers.
