Officer dressed as a woman was pistol whipped by attacker who then stole his puppy
A federal corrections officer was held at gunpoint, robbed, and brutally beaten by a man that he welcomed into his home after they met earlier in the evening. The officer, who revealed the incident anonymously to the media, was dressed in feminine attire at the time.
The encounter between the officer and the eventual robber starting on Peachtree Road (Atlanta, GA), which runs from downtown to north Atlanta. I drove down Peachtree and he was walking down Peachtree. He flagged me down and I pulled over, the officer recalled. I thought I knew him, but I didnt. Then we got into conversation. The officer and the eventual robber returned to the officers home, where the robber excused himself to go into the bathroom, but then came out with a gun pointed at the officers head.
The robber had a gun inches away from the officers head when the officer decided to fight back. He eventually escaped the robber by running out of his apartment, but unfortunately, that allowed the robber to burglarize the home and steal the officers puppy, Buddy.
The officer was brutally beaten and left with wounds that later would require stitches. I ran towards the door and opened the door. As he was seeking his neighbors assistance, the robber went back into the officers home and locked him out. He then took off with the officers pitbull puppy and escaped before he could be captured.
