Hey y'all Georgia DUers! What's up? Check in!

hey y’all! It’s been a while, but I’m checking in and seeing what y’all are up to. It was a lot of work getting our senators, elected and reelected over the past few years, but we are now looking forward to 2024, and also to seeing what indictments Fani Willis will be bringing in Fulton County.

I hope that all of my fellow Georgia DUers are doing well! It is still so hot since it is only the first day of August, and many of us are getting ready to send our kids back to school, if we haven’t already.

Y’all take care and get ready for the work that we have for the 2024 elections!

Waiting for Fani to put the hammer down. Can’t believe school starts here in Gwinnett tomorrow.
Hope we can get more Democrats elected in 2024. Take care and stay cool.💙

Summer break sure has has flown by! My child is ready to start school tomorrow.

With all of our GA senate races behind us for the next 4-6 years, we can concentrate on electing more Democrats to the State Assembly and to Congress.

I hope you enjoy the rest of the summer!

Stay coo! 😎 🥶

Reporting from the 14th District: The Gordon County Dems had a picnic a few weeks ago and invited any candidates who have registered to run against Marjorie Taylor Greene to speak. Three Democratic candidates showed up!!! Of the three, there was one standout. Shawn Harris has a website up and running. Check it out: https://www.shawnforgeorgia.com/
Another candidate, Tambrei Cash also has a website at https://www.cash4ga.com/ The third candidate is named Bart Bryant and he hasn't got his webpage up yet. He also has the same name as a famed golfer who died several years ago, so that's all I get when I google him. He seemed kind of shy and soft spoken but very earnest.

Updates as they come in...

These are brave people to step up against the evil & treasonous MGT. I hope the eventual candidate will be supported with plenty of funding for security and legal representation as well as for campaigning.

It is so important to run candidates in every district in every election. There are so many non-voters that we Democrats could reach as well as Democrats who are currently on the voter rolls in the district.

I believe that changing demographics and time are on our side. Every year, more and more young people turn 18 and can vote. They can register to vote while they’re still 17, prior to the election, as long as they turn 18 by Election Day.

Increased turnout in every local, State Representative, State Senatorial, and Congressional election has an effect on both statewide and federal Presidential and Senatorial races. That’s how we elected Joe Biden, Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock! (Of course we had to vote for Warnock 5 or 6 times to finally get him elected to a regular 6 year term!)

We need every vote.

As James Carville famously said about candidates who run several times before finally winning an election:
“You’re a loser, until you’re not.”

get out the vote! I feel certain the GOP will find someone in their party to run against MTG in the 14th, esp. with a candidate like Shawn Harris.

Thanks for getting ready to do the hard work of getting out the vote statewide for Joe Biden in 2024.

Even though many of us, including me, live in gerrymandered red districts, it is vitally important to get out every last vote for the statewide presidential election. There are more Democratic voters than Republican voters in Georgia, as was shown when we elected Jon Ossoff, Raphael Warnock, and Joe Biden in the 2020 election and re-elected Sen. Warnock to a full 6 year term in 2022.

I plan to get out the vote by going to the doors in my community in the 2024 election. We have a really great county, Democratic Party and many other local and statewide groups that organize in our area so I will be working with them.

Have a great holiday season!

Perhaps, in 2024, both of these J6 participants will be brought to justice by the courts and expelled from office.

one equally bad, though I think Barry Loudermilk is not as much of a publicity hound as MTG. I haven't followed his record.
