The people in charge of hiring workers for the Gwinnett County Elections are very disorganized so reach out to them. RamblingRose Feb 2024 #8

if you’ve never done it, i highly recommend it. it’s a brutal day, but it’s a great experience.

After two decades of working elections including precinct Assistant Manager, I've not received any notification of training or precinct assignment. My precinct manager did ask me if I wanted to work AIP and precinct, which I said "Yes". But with her moving to Area Manager, and prior AM moving elsewhere who knows what has happened.

Gwinnett apparently has me confused with someone else. Payroll and job assignments have all been screwed up in the past.

I went to one of their hiring events for the 2022 election and was hired as an issuing clerk. They told me they desperately needed someone to work at the Doraville (yes, Doraville!) precinct on Winters Chapel Rd. Out of the 5 (6?) of us only 2 had worked an election before. The Poll Manager & Asst. poll manager were new to their jobs. For the runoff election I called the Gwinnett County Board of Elections and requested a poll closer to where I live (& less chaotic!).

The poll manager at the last location said that was going to be her last election so since I hadn't from anyone yet & with the election around the corner I emailed the Gwinnett County Board of Election & said I wanted to be an issuing clerk at the same location. They called me and asked if I'd be a poll manager. I jokingly asked if the job came w/ body armour & said 'no'. A few days later they called & asked again, then yet again to ask if I'd be an Assistant Poll Manager. My answer was the same

The need workers! The next hiring event is February 12th at the Lilburn Library from 4p- 7p.

See you at the polls!

I’d like to hug your neck, all of you who work for GA elections.

Does anyone know if FairFight is still worth contributing to? I’ve been sending them a monthly contribution, but seldom hear anything about them.
