Doing my voter research this morning & learned that I am now in the 13th US Congressional District!! I was in the 7th!

They can't stand the fact that Gwinnett County turned Blue, but WTF! We live nowhere near the 13th!

The last general election we had to vote between 2 Democratic incumbents - Lucy McBath & Carolyn Bourdeaux.

We need to flip the whole state Blue!

Gwinnett County is in the NE Atlanta suburbs (Minority Majority County)

From what I can tell the 13th US Congressional District is S & SW Atlanta suburbs, heavily minority.

3. You should be happy to live in a democratic district

It’s a privilege to live in that district. You have to live in the 13th. It’s a requirement.

4. True! One of the candidates vying for the incumbent Rep. David Scott's seat is Marcus Flowers who ran to beat

MTG. There are 7 candidates vying for the seat.

I consider myself political savvy and am just figuring this out though I knew the districts were redrawn.

When it comes to Judges, DA, Sheriff, Tax Commissioner, etc. I struggle to do my research, especially since the AJC no longer does endorsements.

Suggestions of places to go for research??

...so that it runs from Lawrenceville at the north, Covington at the east, Jonesboro in the west, and a panhandle that runs southeast of Lovejoy. I used to live in Duluth, which is now in the 4th, with about 3/4 of DeKalb County. While she hasn't been "mapped out", they've given McBath a truly, unwieldy, gerrymandered district that might put her into conflict with David Scott, who's served the southside part of this district for years.

7. Part of the way I discovered this was I got a text from candidate for the US Congressional seat inviting me to

"Join us for Cinco de Mayo sip with 'X, candidate for 13th Congressional District for a Meet + Greet + Sip. She will work for you.

When you click on the link it gives more information & states:

Join candidate 'X' for a Meet & Greet! Enjoy a free margarita & light refreshments as you learn more about her platform & vision for Congressional District 13.

Is giving free alcohol allowed w/ campaign contributions? I'm not so cheap where she can buy my vote w/ one margarita.
