(39,854 posts)I know where I was and what I was told to do at 9 years old. Lay my head on a desk and pray for the President. We watched on black and white TV all weekend.
My only question about someone getting shot yesterday is, was it real? My question based on the knowledge of the alleged victims lack of a relationship with the truth. The only thing I was told to do was change the damn channel.

(106,359 posts)(or certainly been assassinated) then perhaps that would be the case--for everyone, not simply his staunch supporters. But, I remember where I was during 911 and the Challenger explosion. I have memories (albeit vague given my very early age) of JFK, RFK, MLK, but they are still memories that stand.
But no, this is not going to be ("Where were you when?" ) kind of life-long memory by any means.
