Group of Alabama women heads to Georgia to campaign for Harris-Walz

A group of Alabama women headed to Columbus, Georgia Friday morning to rally support for Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz.

The group will canvass neighborhoods, call voters, and participate in other tasks in Georgia which is a critical battleground state for the election.

The state swung in President Joe Biden's favor during the 2020 election. Before Biden's 2020 win, the state had not chosen a Democratic presidential candidate since 1992 when Bill Clinton ran for his first term.In 2016, Trump won the state's electoral college votes.

The most recent swing state polling data from Redfield & Wilton Strategies showed Trump leading Harris 49% to 47%.
