Demolition begins on University of Idaho home where 4 students were murdered

by KBOI STAFF Thu, December 28th 2023

MOSCOW, Idaho (KBOI) — The home where four University of Idaho students were killed in November of last year is scheduled to be demolished Thursday morning.

{snip video}

Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogen, and Kaylee Goncalves were killed in 2022 at their off-campus home. The man accused of their murder, Bryan Kohberger, is charged with four counts of first-degree murder.

The defense and the prosecution both toured the home one last time in the lead up to the demolition to gather any final photos, measurements, and footage they may need for the trial.

The home was previously owned by a private owner who rented out the home to college students. After the grizzly murders, the owner donated the house to the University of Idaho which has planned all along to demolish it.

I think this story will be one for the ages. They charged Kohlberger with four counts of murder one. That brewens Dec 2023 #1

is the last thing I expected. Especially since they said initially, they had no known connection between him and the victims and tracked him down by other means.

I'm in Lewiston, ID about 35 miles south of there. I know the town and campus like the back of my hand. Pullman, WA and Washington State University where he worked too. I've driven within a couple blocks of that house too many times to count.

They also said initially they tracked him down here to our Walmart in adjacent Clarkston, WA. I'd hope they could determine what he bought there. They have Walmarts in both Moscow and Pullman. I hope it was bleach and cleaning rags or something incriminating, if it was him. Maybe to thoroughly clean his car?

First degree murder means he had a reason, no matter how insane and a plan to kill all four of them. There has been no hint of any of that leaked.

For a few semesters, I almost rented one of the apartments in the next building sort of in front of that house, I know exactly where that is. Chilling and sad situation.
