Kennedy Contends Rahm behind Plan to push Blacks out of city.

Brown: Kennedy contends Rahm behind plan to push Blacks out of the City.

If businessman Chris Kennedy has any chance of winning the Democratic nomination for Governor, he needs to get Black voters excited for his candidacy.

With that clearly in mind, Kennedy turned his sights Wednesday on Mayor Rahm Emanuel, accusing the Mayor of being part of a "strategic gentrification plan" to intentionally push black residents out of the City.

"We're cutting off money for schools, cutting off money for police. Allowing people to be forced to live in food deserts, closings hospitals, closing access to mental health facilities" Kennedy told reporters at a news conference that began as a criticism of the city's effort to stop gun violence.

The governor's race a sleepy affair? Huh? I think the whole article was very superficial.

I like Chris Kennedy. But I think this contention that Rahm is behind some plan to push blacks out of the city is ridiculous. Kennedy is not the leader of the pack among Democratic hopefuls. This sort of a statement will not help him become the leader.
