Three toddlers, no food, hubby stuck helping others (CPD)! Thank God for my parents who trudged through the drifts to bring food and milk.

of course I do!

I think it was 27" - is that right? No, I see it was 23" in the city. I was in Valparaiso, Indiana, where we had 27".

Later in the spring, we had the Oak Lawn tornado. Does anyone remember that?

When visiting she would regale us about the snowfalls. The best one was riding bus home from work. She watched the traffic light change 10 times without the bus moving an inch.
She got up, off, and walked the remaining 3 miles home

I was 6 years old, home from school with strep throat...didn’t get to go out and play in the snow for at least the first three days of it. Our next door neighbor just had to get to her bowling league...she got about halfway down our street and thus blocked access for the snowplows and my folks had to take a sled to the grocery store. Fun times (at least if you were in grammar school)
