It does worry me, though, that a comedian has to be the person educating us about voting and protecting our rights.

We get better news from comedians than the mainstream news programs, too. What a shame.

But Stephen Colbert used to have a "political" show, even though he played a character. And there is no doubt how he feels about this election, he is always up to speed on the latest news and he obviously loves political guests - he's attracted several who were currently making news like Mary Trump, Michael Cohen and Bob Woodward. So I think he's doing his best to spread the word during these confusing times because he really wants everyone to vote!
