It's very rare for bond ratings to jump over more than one level.

But, the rating services skipped 2 levels in their assessment.

We remember the girl forced to carry a pregnancy to term while being treated like dirt by her family (money raiser for the catholic church). Girl's BF's parents wanted to adopt the child but no paternal rights at that time. Or the girl whose parents forced her to have an abortion.
We remember that family member who died from a back alley abortion. And we know while this may not affect us, it may affect friend/family AND it may not be the only bull shit ruling from the theocrats.

His grandstanding wasn't about public safety then. Why should anyone believe him now?

It's crime, crime, crime, no cash bail for criminals, murders, and, oddly enough, shootings.

He is blaming Pritzker for the rise in shootings. Which is kind of rich.

That will go a long way around here. Folks around here are law-and-order types. In principle.

They still have a Trump pick-up truck convoy every Friday night that runs down Main Street all the way out to the Wal-Mart. And people turn out for it. Like a parade, with a Lemon Ice and French Fry truck out there.

He's playing heavy in the fear factor, but it won't do him much good. Chicago will save us once again. Pritzker has a lock on this.

I just wish the Republicans like Bailey weren't so casual about damaging our communities. They are really screwing up the relationships, respect, and trust that make small towns work.

There truly are some very nice people who are just plain old rubes that believe whatever the guy in the fancy suit and the fancy hair tells them because that's the way they were raised. To say "Yes, sir!" to the boss and say "Hallelujah!" to the preacher.
