brrrrr. happy chilly bean halloween

tom skilling (chicago's wgn weatherman) said today's halloween was the second snowiest on record; the first being in 2019 with over 3 inches.

he also said there have only been 4 colder halloweens in the past 153 years.

and tonight there was the weirdass thundersnow in downtown chicago.
it was cold!

i'm out in the western burbs -- and this afternoon we actually got white out conditions for about five or ten minutes. driving home it was hard to see the stoplights and car headlights.

we had several bouts of snow. oswego had snow and sleet

i went out with my daughter and granddaughter for about an hour with a feels-like temp of 25!
then it started to snow again. so we headed back.

at least it didn't rain. LOL
