Googled Illini and it turns out that they use the term in Illinois for the football teams and other things, so it might be a colloquialism.

And nobody EVER uses the word Illini that way,

They handle a lot of this really quick. One post was made while I looked at another users posts and it was gone in a minute! I followed this pritzker account just to see what happens.
