Sen. Joe Donnelly and former Vice President Joe Biden will rally in Indiana next week
Indiana U.S. Sen. Joe Donnelly and former Vice President Joe Biden will visit Hammond, Indiana next week to encourage supporters to head to the polls, Donnelly's campaign said in a news release Thursday.
A rally will be held Friday, Oct. 12 at the Hammond Civic Center in northern Indiana. It's aimed at spurring Donnelly's supporters to vote early and recruit new volunteers for the Indiana Democratic Coordinated Campaign, the release said.
Donnelly, a Democrat, will be on the ballot in November as the incumbent. He's being challenged by Republican Mike Braun and Libertarian Lucy Brenton. Donnelly is considered one of the more vulnerable Democrats in the U.S. Senate.
It won't be the first time Biden publicly supported Donnelly in Indiana. Biden came to Indianapolis in January to hold a fundraiser for Donnelly, according to the campaign.
