Vigo County Clerk's Office prepares for general election, seeking poll workers

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - The Vigo County Clerk's Office is gearing up for the upcoming general election and is looking for poll workers to ensure everything runs smoothly at polling locations.

Poll workers play a critical role by preparing the polling location, greeting voters, and issuing ballots. Opportunities are available for Election Day or during early voting.

Vigo County Clerk Brad Newman emphasized the importance of filling these roles, saying, "We need as many bodies as possible. Even if they don’t work that day, they can serve as alternates. We’ll get them through training and pay them for it."
