One more attempt to sell mass transit.

Honestly, how could anyone in their right mind oppose this? Yes, it will cost money -- but how to get the people to see that sometimes spending money for the public good pays off?

I especially like the Red/Blue/Green line system. If any of you take the fair train from Fishers down to 38th Street, you know it's about a half-hour ride in a vintage train car. Imagine that commute on a state-of-the-art machine.

But given that this issue is in a legislative study committee this summer, I think I can predict with some certainty that this will eventually go nowhere, and the bitching about traffic on 69, 465, 70, and the condition of surface streets will continue apace.
