State Rep. David Niezgodski, daughter seriously injured in wreck

Firefighters at the scene say State Rep. David Niezgodski (D-South Bend) vehicle and his daughter were both taken to Eskenazi Health in critical but stable condition.
It took firefighters 15 minutes to extricate Niezgodski's daughter, Rachel, from the vehicle.
Witnesses told investigators the Cadillac driven by Niezgodski was traveling west on Ohio Street when it was struck in the passenger side by a Kia Sorento driven by 24-year-old Megan Durham of Indianapolis. Durham was driving south on Capitol.
"Somebody likely ran a red light, but we don't know who ran the red light at this point," said IMPD Sgt. Kendale Adams at the scene.<<<
