I have a form of gum disease that is making my teeth fall out. My dentist said it is the result of a gum disease that if left untreated could lead to mouth cancer...
I need my teeth pulled & dentures, will this be covered by HIP 2.0?

(376 posts)I found a link that shows dental coverage is in HIP PLUS, but not Basic level.
Don't know what their dental plan covers, you'd have to call them probably.

(2,157 posts)I was given Anthem as my provider & after further consultation I found out that the plan I have been approved for includes dental & vision which is a dream come true.
Being a low income, technically homeless because of that I am only required to pay $1 per month to my Power Contribution Account. Once I got my invoice I sent in a money order for $12 that way I've got my entire year paid for at once.
Additionally because I am under the care of a psychiatrist being treated for depression as well as extreme anxiety issues, I am fortunate to be considered 'medically frail' which as I understand includes additional benefits including but not limited to $0 copays on prescriptions, doctor visits, dental procedures as well as no yearly cap on the amount of money needed to spend in order to get my teeth fixed.
Governor Pence must have his eye on running for higher office because while he still refuses to expand Medicaid under the ACA, he took a step in the right direction by introducing HIP 2.0 and expanding it to those regardless of age to low income Hoosier's like myself...

We pay for insurance that pays for nothing. Very high deductible.
I'm happy for you! Take care!
