Indiana
Related: About this forumHello all! I will be visiting Indianapolis this weekend!
I am coming for a conference, and considering the recent law that was passed, as a strong ally, I would really like to spend some money at an LGBT establishment, or one known for being very LGBT-friendly. I will be busy with conference dinners Friday and Saturday, but free Sunday evening, and might get done early enough Fr-Sat to go out after dinner (not sure). I have bookmarked some places I googled on my own, but thought I would pop in here and ask if anyone had any specific suggestions for me. And who knows? Maybe I can run into a DUer or two while I am there!

(56 posts)I'm not in Indy, so i don't have any personal recs. i think the lgbt-friendly places will still be displaying the "open for service" signs that were a response to the rfra debacle.
you probably found gayindy.org and visitindy.com/indianapolis-lgbt in your search.
whatever you do, i hope you have a good experience in Indy!

(14,489 posts)Yes, I found those sites. Just thought I'd see if anyone had a personal rec for anything. Looking forward to visiting, and happy that so many places are standing up in support of equality!

(14,176 posts)A lot of neat shops that are gay-friendly.
Also, look for the blue stickers.
EDIT: The blue stickers are "This business welcomes everyone".
