With tech, people could just reserve themselves a voting slot and then show up.
That would probably need some voter ID some moron just take up all slots and don't show up.

It would be easier to schedule resources that way too.
If people say want to schedule at 7pm friday, more workers could be there at that time.

What if something happens and you miss your slot? What if you don't have a computer? And you would put election workers on split shifts?

This is the modern age, all those pitfalls can be worked through and solved.
Long lines should not be happening in this day and ages.

Right now, its the voters who are on shifts, not sure how that's better.

People will still want to show up mostly when they show up now, except the process will be more organized and voters won't have to lose loads of time, possibly costing them money, to vote. The "cost" monetary or otherwise to vote is just too high right now. When you got someone like Trump people will pay this price, but other elections, they may not.

Making this price high, time, distance, money is part of voter suppression.

Of course, voting from home should be able to be done with things like biometric identification.

People that vote in person would be helped if voting is made easier.

These sorts of long waits seem to occur most frequently in D leaning areas. It's voter suppression.

They believed the Hillary is a liar and a criminal BS. One person thought that trump is "presidential ". It made me sad to read but perhaps the reporter chose not to include anyone who chose to vote for Hillary.

I decided the line was too long. Came back a few days later, shorter line. But given how fast the line went that second try, I'd have only been in line 10 or so minutes longer if I'd voted the first day. As it was, I was in an out in about thirty minutes.

A five hour line is unconscionable, be it early or Election Day voting.

It's a disgrace that people have to wait. Inexcusable that voting should be so hard for people.
