Gov. Kim Reynolds: Still an idiot.

Last edited Sat Feb 6, 2021, 02:00 AM - Edit history (2)

More like a fucking moron.

Her new proclamation takes effect Sunday at 12:01am. No mask required, no social distancing required, restaurants and bars may operate at full capacity.

Iowa is near the bottom in vaccinations.

Something is wrong with this woman.

I hope the Democratic party doesn't let Iowa go first starting in 2024.

2. WTF is wrong with that woman?

That is what went through my head when I heard about this. Also: WTF, Iowa?

I believe this is her first term as governor. I sure hope Iowa voters have better sense than to reelect her when the time comes.

I've thought about moving from Illinois to Iowa when my husband retires in a couple of years. My sister lives about an hour from the state line/Mississippi River, and the cost of living is said to be lower on the Iowa side. But after the way Iowa has responded to covid, I am not sure I ever want to live there (or in any red state). Not when things are so much saner here in BLUE Illinois.

6. There are so many great things about Iowa.

Great cities, great campgrounds and hiking trails, wonderful restaurants (when there isn't a pandemic), great school systems and universities. And the Democrats living in Iowa are the best.

Sadly, Republicans in Iowa are the absolute worst version of themselves, especially those living in the former Steve King district of western Iowa, also known as Vichy Iowa.

Transplant to iowa about 8 years ago.

The school systems are no longer great. They are sliding into mediocrity. Years and years of underfunding from the state have moved Iowa from the top ten in public k12 schools into the twenties. Her approach to Covid will probably lead to a mass exodus of teachers. All schools must offer 100 percent in person schooling, regardless of square feet per pupil, quality of ventilation, etc. We rank 47th in vaccinations and teachers cannot jump to the front of the line. If I was still teaching, I would quit midyear to avoid dying from covid-19.

All the years of Branstad, Covid Kimmy, and the Republican state legislature have been gradually destroying the schools. They keep passing more and more onerous anti-abortion legislation.

And let's not forget those two worthless POS in the Senate. Iowa gave us Grassley to go after clinton and protect Trump. Ernst won a secod term easily. I'll bet branstadts son wins Grassley seat next time as a loyal protrumper.

univ of Iowa is a party school t exploded Covid 19 all over the corridor even before it reopened at the end of the summer.

Iowa should not be in the front of the line. Too small. Too white. And far too unlikely to actually deliver any electoral college or Senate seats.

I agree, they are doing lots of damage. But it is worth struggling to save.

He knows many of the American people are not going to follow CDC precautions.
And the more people infected, the more the mutations.
