SOLD! 230-acre Iowa century farm brings nearly $4 million at auction
Before the auction, tenant Paul Kock spoke to the crowd. He is the third generation of his family to farm as tenants on this property. The Kock family moved onto this farm in 1929, and weve been blessed to be farming it for about 94 years, he said. This is some of the best ground in the world. The fertility has always been great.
There were three rounds of bidding for each tract, with three different buyers in the lead after round two. When the final round was finished, however, the same buyer came away with all three pieces of ground, bidding a total of $3,910,954 for the entire farm.
