Back to reality. Eaton cuts 250 jobs in Shenandoah

http://www.kmaland.com/news/eaton-manufacturing-cutting-shenandoah-jobs/article_0dbbc7d6-cb4f-11e5-86fa-7b7e9a9f41bb.html

"This morning, Eaton announced a change in its manufacturing strategy at the Shenandoah, Iowa, transmission facility. That strategy involves elimination of transmission assembly, gear and shaft machining operations and retaining manufacturing of some components for final assembly of the transmissions. We notified our employees this morning. Unfortunately, approximately 250 positions at the facility will be impacted by this announcement. Approximately 85 positions will be retained to support the ongoing operations. I cannot emphasize enough that this announcement in no way is a reflection of the hard work of the people in this facility. They are excellent employees. They are dedicated employees, and they are good people. We are acutely aware of the impact this type of an announcement has on our valued employees, their families and the community at large. We will work closely with all of our constituents to help them through this transition."

end cut

This comes after 79 jobs cut in December.
