Where Is Chuck Grassley

(from an email)

Have you seen Chuck Grassley?

Lately it's like playing 'Where's Waldo' with the Senator, while he's playing games with the Supreme Court. Will you help us find him?

If you've heard where Grassley is holding meetings, call the 'Where is Chuck' Hotline at (515) 421-8997 or email whereischuck@whycourtsmatteriowa.org.

This week the Senate started their recess, and Grassley usually spends that time meeting with constituents. In fact he's famous for it, as his 99 county tours have been called doing the 'full Grassley.'

But this week, the full Grassley is running on empty: he doesn't have a single public event on his calendar.

Not one.

So, where is Chuck?

The few events he is holding (just 3 during the 15 day recess) are in three of the most Republican counties in Iowa. He wanted to cherry pick his audience.

We've also heard a few rumors about other events. Instead of holding more public events, he's having private events. And closed-door meetings. He's scheduling 'media availabilities' ... without notifying the media.

It's almost as if he doesn't want any attention. And it's no surprise he wants to hide. Iowans have been speaking out in the tens of thousands, calling on Senator Grassley to stop his obstruction of the Supreme Court nominee. He's using his powerful position as Chair of the Judiciary committee to block hearings, and his constituents are frustrated and disappointed that he won't do his job.

We need your help. If you've heard the details of Grassley's private events, or closed door meetings, let us know:

Call the 'Where is Chuck' Hotline at (515) 421-8997.
Email whereischuck@whycourtsmatteriowa.org to fill us in on the details.
With your help, Senator Grassley won't be able to run and hide for long!

Thanks for all you do,
Matt Sinovic
