Kudos to Rob Hogg

I am hoping he will take a shot at the Governor's spot in 2018.

If Branstad runs, I think Iowans are sick of him. If Reynolds runs she is eminently beatable. Let's hope he ups his profile in the next couple of years.

and maybe with 40% voting for Judge and 11% voting against Grassley we will have enough to send Grassley back to his home in Virginia.

And I am really hoping this was just a tune up for Hogg.

I voted for Rob but I wonder if a lot of people voted for Judge out of name recognition with the presumption that would be enough. It's going to take a lot more than that. She's going to have to run a full throttle campaign to win this.

But unfortunately we could have put our votes together for Hogg instead of splitting the vote 4 ways. Feigan and Krause were good too but they didn't have the support (about 7% each) If they'd have dropped out we could have had someone more progressive.

I met him when he stopped in Dubuque and was impressed. I voted for him in the primary. I hope he makes a run at the Governor's office so ol' Double Dipper can slink back into retirement.
