Related: About this forumcalled that fucking Ernst and worthless Grassley again today about healthcare
every place I have gone for the past week people are really scared about losing their healthcare. Most scared about the cost, pre-existing conditions and kids up to 26 on the policy.
So I called Grassley's Washington office and got a recording.
Called Ernst's office and got a guy who tried immediately cut me off. All the interactions I have had with the Ernst office have been with jackasses.
I am steaming - just getting up a good head of steam for the next term.

(572 posts)I was calling three or four times a day for a while and I told the guy that since the senator wasn't taking calls in his office, I had to make my views known so he was it. The guy said, "I realize that but we have other things going on and other constituents concerns to address.". I just laughed at him. I admit that I don't call every day anymore but I am still making my view known. That is, if I don't get health care, there is no reason for the senator to have it on my dime.

(63,159 posts)As soon as I said something about the ACA he started talking over me in a real loud voice.
I shouted into the phone 3 times before he let me speak.
I then told him I was a taxpayer and I was going to have my say whether he liked it or not. Told him I could stay on the phone all day if needed or I could keep calling back until they listened.
I have had many friends in the past few days open up about their fears of losing healthcare so I thought I had better call again and again and again.
