Democratic Nominee Cindy Axne Leads Two-Term Congressman David Young by four Points In the First Poll of the General Election
(West Des Moines, IA) - Today, Cindy Axne, a fifth-generation Iowan, a small business owner and the Democratic nominee for Iowas 3rd Congressional District, released the first polling of the General Election showing her four points ahead of two-term Congressman Young. This comes just days after Cindy Axne released her record-breaking fundraising number of $650,000 out-fundraising Congressman David Young by over $110,000.
Since day one, our campaign has been about improving the lives of Iowa families who feel left behind by Washington, said Axne. The energy and momentum were seeing is a clear sign that Iowans are ready for new leadership in Congress, and a voice who will fight for affordable healthcare and better education opportunities for all Iowans.

Axne: 45%
Young: 41%
Undecided: 14%
Even better, Axne has a positive favorable rating even with swing voters not registered Dem or Rep. Young has a net negative approval rating among all voters.
Lots of other good news in the poll too. Hope it holds. The poll is in pdf form at the link above.
