Looks like Beto O'Rourke is running

https://wcfcourier.com/news/local/govt-and-politics/update-beto-o-rourke-headed-to-waterloo-this-weekend-in/article_7106d3d5-dc12-5275-974c-54ab34b6d9a6.html#tracking-source=home-the-latest

He's coming Saturday to Waterloo in support of Eric Giddens, the Democratic nominee for the Iowa Senate seat recently vacated by Jeff Danielson (SD 30), and as you can see from the article, several other potential presidential candidates have already come, are coming, or are sending staff to help out in our local race.

My son has his heart set on Bernie, so won't accompany me, but I may just go by myself to see what all the fuss about Beto is about.

I'm not much for canvassing, but Eric Giddens seems like a really sharp candidate, so I'll see about some other ways to help out.

Even if we don't think we'll support them in the caucus, we'll give her/him a listen. Can't hurt to have a couple more bodies in the audience for the cameras!

It is 30 miles away and it is cold and windy. My friend's house is fairly small. Based on the responses it looks like folks will be crammed in there tonight. So we have decided to forego this one.

As of right now, there is only one candidate I have a problem with. On the off chance that person was nominated, I would most certainly vote for them over T---T--- T.... old shitstain.
