Jerry Moran's newsletter 2/1/2021

"The Constitution is where I go to find answers. Unfortunately, the Constitution does not clearly answer whether a former president can be impeached. This decision will set precedent for future Congresses in regards to impeachment, and I am clearly on the side that a former president should not be subject to impeachment."

Appears his mind is already made up, Qrump did no wrong.

He can say maybe it was wrong, but a Senate impeachment conviction trial can't be applied to a former President.

That is irrelevant, however, because a former president hasn’t been impeached. Trump was a sitting president when he was impeached.

This nimrod is attempting to conflate impeachment with what inevitably follows it: trial and possible conviction. And if convicted, a vote on whether to bar him from ever holding office again.
