Kansas to recount abortion vote by hand, despite big margin

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — Kansas’ elections director says the state will go along with a request for a hand recount
of votes from every county after last week’s decisive statewide vote affirming abortion rights, even though
there was a 165,000-vote difference and a recount won’t change the result.

Melissa Leavitt, of Colby in far western Kansas, requested the recount and declined to comment to reporters
Friday evening, citing work obligations. But she said on an online site raising funds for a recount that she had
“seen data” about the election. Her post was not more specific, and there is no evidence of significant
problems with the election.

Baseless election conspiracies have circulated widely in the U.S., particularly among supporters of former
President Donald Trump, who has repeated false claims that he lost the 2020 election through fraud.

Kansas law requires Leavitt to post a bond to cover the entire cost of the recount.

Hope it costs her her life savings to find out there is no election fraud.

…I hope she realises she’s a nut before she burns thru her savings. If she doesn’t, She will be a forever burden on her family, and I’m not sure they deserve it. But, if they do, then so be it - “god’s will” and all that.

The SAME “socialist” system she probably despises.

But the socialist system supports all regardless of belief.

That's the beauty of socialism in my opinion.

I only hope there's nothing fishy up her sleeve. I don't trust these people.

the "hurry up," unloading the cargo. As a result of the speed up, many of the ships weren't throughly inspected. I remember hearing on Fox's local station in Santa Monica ( I monitor them so's you don't have to) that there were boxes of blank voting forms coming off one of the ships. They had "Kansas" written on the address label. Union guy called it out to his supervisor who always talks up Bernie Sanders. Boss told him to just let it go because they didn't have time to hold up everything for little crap (actual word was bleeped) like that.

Now where do you think those blank voting ballots ended up?

Second, I readily admit I'm dense, so I'm not sure what you are alluding to here. Are you saying the ballots from the cargo ship may have been used to skew the abortion vote, and if so, which way? Why wouldn't the counterfeit ballots be supplied domestically, assuming the cargo was from a foreign entity, as it seems that that would be easy enough? Third, since when is anything reported on Fox considered legit? This leads to my last question: Is there another source for the local Fox accusation? Again, I'm easily baffled, so I apologize if I'm being an idiot.

600 of my fellow citizens were beamed to Kansas City the night before the election and we all voted. I certainly hope that she doesn't find out about us.

Captain Kirk from the future had Scottie beam 1 million Californians to Kansas so they could claim residence and vote prior to the election.
