Any hunter safety class will instruct hunters to always unload their rifles while driving between locations,
never ever trust the safety being accidentally switched to fire with a dog or children around.

(3,690 posts)but is it weird that it's so easy for guns to be fired by creatures who aren't supposed to be able to fire them? Toddlers, first-graders, dogs?
Can you really just step on a gun and it goes off? (I guess so.)
If so, why do men stick guns into their waistband pointing at their precious manhood?

(19,154 posts)Generally speaking no, but it's easy for a dog to put a toenail inside a trigger guard.
Plus safeties are easy to push off.

(3,690 posts)Why don't they use a holster. It must be some toxic masc thing. "I am so manly, I will risk blowing off my manhood to prove it."
