Poll commissioners still needed in Calcasieu This ad will end in 16 seconds

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Poll commissioners are still needed in Calcasieu Parish to serve in the upcoming Presidential Election on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Clerk of Court Lynn Jones is asking residents for help.

“We have made an aggressive push to recruit election workers, but we still number below what is needed,” said Jones. “We want to have enough to fill in when selected commissioners cannot work due to illness or work conflict, especially with a Tuesday election, some of our regulars who normally work the Saturday elections may find out late in the game they are needed at their full-time jobs.”

Election Commissioners receive $200 per Election Day worked.
